I Bet You Will Put Eggs In A Bag After Reading This

Many people are not convinced that this method really works, but it is definitely worth giving it a try. You can still use the iron pan and olive oil as you normally do, but this method seems to work in some situations.

In the video which presents this interesting method, you learn how to make an easy and quick breakfast that doesn’t leave you with much clean up. You basically mix the eggs with bell peppers, ham, cheese and some additional ingredients and transfer the mixture into a freezer bag. Then you cook it in a pot of boiling water. Moreover, you can prepare the eggs the night before, and cook them in the hot water the next morning.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green bell pepper ( optional)
  • 2 slices ham, chopped ( optional)
  • ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 2 fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chunky salsa (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh tomato (optional)

Instructions:

Crack the eggs into a large freezer bag. Press most of the air and seal. Shake in order to beat the eggs. Then, open the bag and add the green pepper, ham, cheese, mushrooms, salsa, onion, and tomato. Again press most of the air and seal the bag.

Then, bring a large pot of water to boil. You can place about 8 bags into the boiling water at a time. Cook for 13 minutes and the open the bag. If you do a three-egg omelet, increase the cooking time to 15 minutes. Let the omelet roll out onto a plate. It is supposed to roll out easily.

Suggestions:

  1. Use only heavy-duty quart-size freezer bags, as cheaper bags will open up and ruin the omelet
  2. Use a straw to suck all the air out of the bag after mixing the ingredients or just lay the bag against a sharp corner of a table with the egg mixture below the edge and the top of the beg flat on the table top. Press out the air and seal.

Besides the recommended ingredients, you can use whatever you want to your preference, such as sausage or crumbled bacon.

This method would be perfect for sleepovers, big family events and even camping. You can prepare the ingredients in advance by chopping them and have people write their names on the bag. Then, everyone can choose what they want and just put in their bag. All you need to do is to add the eggs. As simple as that!
