How I Lost 20 Pounds In 3 Monts Eating This For Breakfast

Until recently, I did not eat a healthy breakfast, but I had juice, cereals, white toast and peanut butter instead. I was doing harm to myself and my body, without even knowing it.

When I found out what I should really be feeding on, I understood how wrong I was.

Besides changing my breakfast habits, I also changed other things in my life. Besides changes in my diet, I implemented changes in my lifestyle as well and started exercising more.

However, the breakfast was my biggest change, and I am going to tell you why.

Why This Breakfast Is Awesome

Way fewer cravings

Maybe it is the raw, natural honey or the banana, but eating this breakfast truly helps me control my sugar cravings. Already by lunch, I used to be craving sugar, but now that is gone. I also stopped consuming juice, which worsened the things.

Fuller for longer

Many argue that oats are beneficial for weight loss, many argue they are not. For me, personally, they have worked. They kept me full until well into the afternoon, which was not the case before.

Metabolism boost

I noticed that sometimes I can tell if my metabolism is burning faster. By having a good breakfast in the morning, you give your stomach a reason to start working well throughout the day, and thus you make the process of losing weight easier.

Notes on the Recipe

Rarely is anyone satisfied with all the ingredients they take in. I’m living on a budget and that is why I use unsweetened cocoa powder instead of cacao powder, or flax seeds instead of chia seeds, but they will do for now.

I should note that this recipe is adapted to me, and you can adapt it to yourselves too. Someone eats more, someone less, so you would need to adjust some of the ingredients accordingly. You can also make other adjustments in terms of tastes.

The recipe

  • Half a tablespoon ground flax seed
  • Half a banana
  • One heaping spoonful of plain Greek yogurt
  • One tablespoon of raw, organic honey
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • ¾ tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ scoop vanilla protein powder (optional, according to taste)
  • 1/3 cup of unsweetened almond milk

Put all ingredients in a bowl or small container with a spoon and mix them together. Cover the container and put it in the fridge and let it overnight.

Next morning, take the mixture out of the fridge and start eating and enjoying it. You may also warm it up a little if you like it like that, or you can add a little extra almond milk.

I really enjoy this meal, I hope you will too!
