  • WD-40
  • Q-tips
  • Cardboard soap
  • Liquid dish soap, like Dawn
  • Old toothbrush
  • Baking soda

Instructions:

  • First, put a piece of cardboard under the affected area, as you don’t want to affect the back of the shirt. Then, spray the oil stained area with WD-40. You can use Q-tip as well in case you want to work into the entire stain.
  • Cover the already wet area with baking soda. You will need a lot of baking soda, as you were making a baking soda mountain on the stain. This is the crucial step and it works very good to soak up both oil and WD-40.
  • Then, take some toothbrush you don’t use anymore, and use it to work the baking soda thoroughly into the stain. Scrub well until you notice large clumps of baking soda.
  • Then, apply some dish detergent over the area treated with baking soda. Take the toothbrush again and work that in too. It is recommended to use a rag in order to wipe off the clumps in the toothbrush as you go. Both baking soda and dish soap will definitely get caught in the toothbrush. So, have a rag handy.
