Have you ever wondered why you do not mind the smell of your own farts? And, here’s what it means when you are bothered by it.

What Does The Smell Of Our Own Gases Say About Our Health (VIDEO)

Almost all people in the world share the view that that their own farts do not stink, and they are not bothered by them even if they do stink. However, they find the smell of other people’s gases repellent. You could say that we like the smell of our own farts. The sense of smell has a function, which is developed through evolution, and that is to protect our bodies from what is bad for us. This is the reason why we find the smell of an organic material that is falling apart to be disgusting–because of the resentment of eating something that is full of harmful bacteria–while we are attracted to the odors of those substances that are good for our bodies. It seems that a fly’s sense of smell is not so tuned.

Therefore, our body protects itself from infection by bacteria that are bad for it, but our own gases contain bacteria that are a product of our own organism, and there’s no reason to be repelled by them, because this scent serves as information about the state of our body.

So, if you don’t like the smell of your own gases, that would mean that your organism is sending you an information that there’s something wrong it.
