Quick And Easy Tricks to Stop a Nosebleed

No matter what the cause for your nosebleed is, there are tricks that will help you stop it. You probably already have at least one of the necessary remedies described below, and you can even try several of them to see which one works best for you.

  • VINEGAR : Vinegar can dry up the cause of your nosebleed and clean your skin, which will make the bleeding area heal faster. Just dip a cotton swab in white vinegar and use a cotton swab to plug the affected nostril. Leave it in for several minutes.
  • SALT FOR NASAL IRRIGATION : An irritant inside the nasal cavity can cause nasal bleeding. If you believe that this is the cause for your nosebleed, irrigating the area with water can be extremely helpful. Mix 1 teaspoon of salt with 2 cups of filtered water and flush it through the bleeding nostril.
  • STEAM : If your nosebleed is caused by constricted blood vessels in your nose, you can try opening up the skin in and around your nose with steam. Boil a pot of water on the stove, lean over it, and put a towel over your head. Breathe in the steam for a while – it will help you clean your nose.
  • VITAMIN E OIL : A dry nose is one of the major causes for a nosebleed. Always keep vitamin E oil capsules on hand, especially if you have regular nosebleeds. To stop a nosebleed, poke a hole in the capsule, put a bit of the oil on your finger, and press the oil to the site of the nosebleed. The oil will moisturize your skin, and the vitamin E will help it heal.
  • COMPRESSION : Sometimes, a little bit of pressure can stop a nosebleed. Take a clean handkerchief or a tissue, press it to the part of your nose that is bleeding, and hold it for several minutes.

These tips will help you stop those embarrassing and uncomfortable nosebleeds. However, if you find what’s triggering your nosebleeds, you will be able to avoid them altogether.
