10 Simple Home Remedies For Dry, Cracked Heels

You can heal you cracked dry heels simply by using home remedies.

  1. Lemon, salt, glycerine, rose water cracked heels mask:

You should try this mask if you want to have beautiful smooth feet. With this home remedy you will get rid of the cracked feet more quickly than you think. Actually you can use this in two different ways, to wash your feet and to prepare a mask from these ingredients.

If you want only to wash them first fill a large bowl with warm water than add raw salt, glycerine, rose water and lemon juice. Put your feet and enjoy for 20 minutes. You can also take a pumice stone and scrub the cracked places on your feet.

To prepare a mask take 1tsp undiluted glycerine, 1tsp rose water and 1tps lemon juice. Mix them together and apply over your heels. If you want to leave the mask overnight wear a pair of socks. In the morning wash your feet with lukewarm water.

  1. Vegetable oil:

Vegetable oil is good and can be used for dry skin on your feet. By simply applying the oil on the cracked parts you will reduce the dead skin from your feet. Before applying the oil you feet should be cleaned and dried completely. You can soak a pair of socks in the oil and wear them overnight while you`re sleeping. In the morning all you have to do is wash them off. In order to have results this should be repeated several times.

  1. Banana along with banana and avocado cracked heels mask:

Do you know that with a pulp of a ripe banana you can remove the cracked skin of your heels and feet. Put the banana and keep it for 10 minutes and you will see it.

If you want you can also create a mask from banana in combination with avocado.

Blend them together with a green coconut in a blender. Then apply the mixture on your feet. The thing is that avocados and coconuts are full with essential oils and vitamins that are good for dry skin.

  1. Vaseline and lemon juice:

Clean all the dirt from your feet and put them in warm water fro15 to 20 minutes. Than wash them up and dry them but not completely.

Prepare a mixture from 1tps Vaseline and juice of lemon. Apply the mixture on the humid heels or the other cracked parts on your feet. Massage the places till the skin absorbs all the juice.

It is more practical if you do this before going to bad, because you will keep it for a longer period of time. We recommend you to wear cotton socks because they will increase the effect.

  1. Paraffin Wax:

If you have painful heels than paraffin wax is the right solution for you. Combine it with mustered or coconut oil. Heat the mixture in a pan till it melts entirely. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and when it gets cool apply it on the cracked area. It is more effective if you keep it overnight.

If your seeking for an ingredient with antibacterial properties than take honey.

Preparation: Mix one cup of honey to half a bucket of warm water and soak your feet for 15 minutes in it. Massage gently for soft and supple feet.

  1. Rice Flour:

This scrub of rice flour is great for cracked feet.

Preparation: mix together 2-3tbsps of ground rice with few spoons of honey and apple cider. You can also additionally add a spoon of olive oil.

After you soak you feet for 10 minutes, scrub them with this paste and remove the dead skin.

  1. Olive oil:

Olive oil can be used in several different ways as help for cracked feet.

One way is to apply it with cotton. You may simply get a pair of cotton socks soaked in this oil and wear them for an hour, and after that rinse your feet with cold water. Or you may take a cotton ball in which previously you have applied some virgin oil, and massage your feet 10-15 minutes in circular motion.

Another way is to make a homemade foot cream with this oil. All you need for this cream is 1tbsp olive oil, few drops lemon oil or lavender oil mixed in a small bottle with the same amount of water. Apply this cream several times during the day and get rid of the thick skin.

Make a paste by using some jojoba oil and 1 tbsp powder oatmeal. Mix them together till it gets thick, after that apply the mixture over the cracked parts on your hills. Leave this like that for half an hour or till it gets dry and then wash it with cold water. You should do this every alternative day in order to remove the cracks.
